MIPIM key information

6th-9th March 2012
Cannes

www.mipim.com

MIPIM is a major international commercial property event and was attended by 18,000 delegates in 2011. MIPIM is run by Reed MIDEN, therefore The Architectural Review are bound by certain rules and systems imposed by Reed MIDEM. However as a major international event The Architectural Review chooses to host the Future Projects Awards around MIPIM and work in conjunction with Reed MIDEN to provide an ideal location for Architect's to showcase their design skills.

If you would like to visit the exhibition and events hosted by MIPIM (including Future Projects Awards Exhibition) you will need to purchase a delegate pass (the AR sell discounted passes if bought by Feb 1st). Please note you do not need a delegate pass to attend the Future Projects Awards Dinner as it takes place at a hotel away form the main MIPIM complex. For more information on the discounted delegate passes please contact Melissa.mcchesney@emap.com

Getting the most out of MIPIM
If you are attending MIPIM for the first time, or simply want to make the most of the opportunities MIPIM holds, the attached guide provides a background on MIPIM, what it is and what it offers. The guide includes a breakdown of who attends the summit, what events/conferences will take place and how to raise your profile and make the most of networking opportunities. This guide can also be found on the MIPIM website www.mipim.com

Social/Networking Events
The main social occasion during MIPIM of international appeal is the Opening Cocktail Party on the Tuesday evening. There is also the glitzy MIPIM Awards ceremony on the Thursday evening in the Palais des Festivals. Both of these events are for registered attendees only.

MIPIM's biggest sit down dinner is held for the Future Projects Awards on Wednesday 7th March and tickets are now available to attend this event (details below).

MIPIM Tough Guide
Most of what you need to know about getting to and attending MIPIM is included in the 'MIPIM Tough Guide'. The 2011 guide is expected to be live in February and will include a list of social events during the week, advice on eating/drinking at MIPIM, getting to and from Cannes, a map of the area and other useful information.

Accommodation:
If you are a registered delegate, the Reed MIPIM hotels department will organise accommodation. If you are not registered to attend MIPIM itself, you will need to make your own arrangements, by securing either hotel or apartment accommodation. Dovetail Foks are Reed Midem's official travel supplier for MIPIM 2011 and have a private allocation of rooms and apartments around Cannes. If you are not registered to attend MIPIM itself, you will need to make your own arrangements, by securing either hotel or apartment accommodation in the past this can prove tricky, as most hotel rooms are reserved for MIPIM delegates, however certainly not impossible.
